FUNDING AND EYFS
As a childminder I am registered with Ofsted and the Local Authority and I can therefore offer the government funded hours.
What is 3 & 4 years old funding? Universal Funding – every 3&4 years old is automatically entitled to 15 hours of funded hours per week the term after their 3rd birthday.
Extended Funding - The additional 15 hours funding is also known as the ’30 hours funded childcare’.
This is an extension of 3 and 4 years old funding. Unlike the universal entitlement, you must match the eligibility criteria. If you found to be eligible you will be given a validity code.
This will let you claim up to an additional 15 hours from an approved provider.
Funding is also for some 2 years olds please ask for details. What is The Early Years Foundation Stage?
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.
All school and Ofsted registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries, and school reception classes.
We thank you in advance for your patience during this most challenging and unprecedented time.
